Unlike previous Fallout games, Fallout 4 is the first time that you’ll actually see your characters face a lot, due to any dialog making use of a third person camera. It’s no surprise that face mods are some of the most sought after.

Unfortunately, PS4 players have it the worst when it comes to modding Fallout 4. Due to heavy restrictions by Sony, no external assets are allowed to be used, meaning no new models, textures, sounds etc. This means it’s hard to find a lot of great mods that we usually see on Xbox and PC.

The mods in this list are in no particular order, and all the buttons below link back to Bethesda.net where you can download them on your PS4. Here at PwrDown, we’ve covered many more lists like this for Fallout 4 PS4 Mods!

The Companions Enhanced

First up is The Companions Enhanced for PS4. This mod doesn’t change the face of your own character, but instead for some Companions. These include Mama Murphy, Cait, Curie, Piper, Danse, Preston and MacCready. It doesn’t change the textures of the faces, instead focusing more on the shape and other features.

Cait Looks Cuter

This next mod also works towards changing Companions, but this time just for Cait. Overall, she’ll look completely different with a new style when it comes to her facial structure, hair, eyes, lips and more. The developer states that they wanted to make her look less rugged and rough.

Josephine Preset

As well as mods, you can also download presets from the Bethesda website. These are already designed characters which you can choose from in character creation. Presets don’t contain any mods, and use all Vanilla Fallout 4 face textures, hair styles and eyes.

Unlocked Presets

Unlocked Presets is a huge mod, and adds 500 new presets to the character creation screen of Fallout 4. There are 176 for female characters, and 324 for male characters. These presets are drawn from existing characters in the game, whether they be well known NPCs or random settlers. You can see the companion Cait on the image above.

Clean Faces of Settlers

This simple mod for Fallout 4 on PS4 will change the appearance of all your settlers in-game. Instead of being dirty, they will now be clean. Again, it’s another mod that won’t add any new textures of faces to the game, just simply changing the Vanilla ones.

Eyes Expanded

Finally, we have a mod that will change the eyes of your characters in Fallout 4. Due to the restrictions in place by Sony, the eyes provided by the mod use textures already in-game. You can apply the new eyes either during character creation, or by heading to a plastic surgeon (you can find one in Diamond City). The new eyes are Synth Gen 1 & 2 Eyes, Ghoul Eyes, Blind Eyes and Scarred Eyes.

NPCs Are Not Cartoons

NPCs Are Not Cartoons is a compilation of mods, which work on changing the appearance of NPCs in Fallout 4. The developer of this mod aims to stop NPCs looking like cartoons, and more like realistic characters. It doesn’t involve any sort of beautification like other mods do either. Currently, a chunk of the main NPCs are reworked.

Sophie Female Preset

Sophie is another preset you can download for your characters in Fallout 4 on PS4. It doesn’t add any new features that don’t already exist in the game, but give you an already made character design that you can choose during character creation. It includes some scars, which you can of course take out if you wish.

Many Faced Mod

Here’s another preset for Fallout 4, but this time for male characters. If you haven’t already guessed, this preset will make you look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the resemblance is incredible! If you want to clear out the Commonwealth as the Terminator, then this preset is for you.

Waste Anchorage

Finally, we have the Waste Anchorage mod for PS4. Looking through Bethesda, there really wasn’t any face mods left, and had to resort to a hairstyle. Anyhow, this style is completely unique, and is created by merging some Vanilla styles that already exist. It’s called Waste Anchorage, and is available for both male and female characters.
