With Apex Legends being one of the hottest games right now, it’s going to receive constant updates. If Origin is refusing to do an update automatically, it’s possible to manually force it.
Doing so will tell Origin to check for updates, whilst also verifying the game files and adding any missing items. It’s a quick and simple process, and is done from inside the Origin game launcher.
You can find out how to force updates and verify files below. Whilst we have some more guides available for Apex Legends which can be found here. Otherwise, check out the bottom of this post where you can find similar content!
Updating & Verifying
Open up the Origin Launcher and choose Apex Legends from your game library.
Next, don’t press the Play button. Instead, open up the settings area by pressing the small cog icon, located just to the right of the play button. Now to force an update, choose the ‘Update Game’ option.
Give it a few minutes, and Apex Legends will update. You can keep track of progress in the bottom left corner. If your game is corrupt or not running correctly, then you may want to choose the ‘Repair’ option, which will verify the game files.
You’ll be alerted once the game is updated and ready to play.
