Valves new card game Artifact just launched, and with it came 10 free card packs to all players. Although the servers struggled a bit at launch to hand these out. The issue seems to be fixed now.
In each card pack you open, you will receive 12 cards. Every pack begins with 1 rare card, 3 uncommon and 8 common cards. Common then uncommon cards have a 5% chance to upgrade. 1 card will be a hero card, and 2 will be item cards.
Below, we’re going to show you where about in the game you can open collection packs. Mainly because first time round, it seems a bit confusing. We’ll have more guides for Artifact coming this way soon!
Opening Card Packs
You can check how many packs you have at the bottom of the screen. In the image below, I have 10. You’ll be told with the purple flashing light. Either click this number, or choose ‘Card Collection’ on the right hand side.
You’ll be taken to the screen below. At first glance, it looks like it’s asking you to buy packs, even though you have some ready to open. All you have to do, is click the giant card pack on the right side of the text.
This will open up your first pack of cards for Artifact! You can then go ahead and keep opening up the rest of your packs.
