Ubisoft has announced its planned DLC for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.
The first piece of episodic DLC is a story expansion titled, Legacy of the First Blade. It will focus on the first use of the hidden blade. The episodic pack is scheduled for release in December 2018.
The second story driven DLC is titled, The Fate of Atlantis. It will have players encountering godly creatures and uncovering the sunken city of Atlantis. This pack begins in Spring 2019.
Exact details about these episodic packs have yet to be revealed. We don’t know how many episodes there’ll be or how much content is in each episode. Ubisoft has however said that the tone and gameplay of Odyssey will be present, meaning there’s a focus on player choice.
The final piece of DLC is a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III, all of its associated DLC and a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed: Liberation. This will be released in March 2019 and it can be purchased outside of Odyssey’s season pass, for an undisclosed price.
These remasters will feature full 4K, HDR support on the PS4 Pro, the Xbox One X and PC. They will have enhanced textures, a new graphics engine and improved gameplay mechanics. Exact details have not been stated.
Outside of Odyssey’s season pass, all players will have access to free post-launch content updates. This content includes episodic quests called The Lost Tales of Greece, weekly contracts, mercenaries, mythical creatures, a new game plus mode and more.
