Power Armor plays a huge role in Fallout 4, with you being able to complete the entire game with it if you wish. If you’re like me though, it’s possible that you won’t touch the Power Armor again after it’s introduction in Concord.
Either way though, there are plenty of mods available which change the mechanics of the armor. Whether it’s adding whole new sets, upgrade pieces or simple animation changes. Below, we’ve listed some of the best mods for Power Armor in Fallout 4, specifically for PC. Although some of these may be available for the Xbox One or PS4 on Bethesda.net.
Power Armor Animation Changes
This mod adds some small quality of life changes to Power Armor in Fallout 4. Firstly, it changes the enter & exit animations to be much faster, whilst also adding a heroic stance. This makes the armor suit look a bit more better when it’s idle. There is a new addition to this mod which makes you enter & exit the suit instantly.
Enclave X-02 Power Armor
This mod adds a whole new set of Power Armor to the game, the Enclave X-02 which makes a return from Fallout 3. Instead of crafting this set, you can actually find it in-game. Head to the Red Rocket gas station located in the Glowing Sea, that’s where you can pickup the Enclave X-02.
Liberty Power Armor
Installing this mod will add a whole new set of Power Armor to the game, which has its own unique design. The Liberty Power Armor can be found before the Sentinel Site Nuke Storage Room, or crafted at a chemistry station. Once owned, it can be customised with some unique upgrades and skins.
T-49: Armor of the Story Teller
The T-49 Mod adds a new set of Power Armor to Fallout 4, which can be used at any point of the game. Mainly due to how customizable it is. One bonus of this armor is that if you use the Desert Recon edition, your Armor will use Solar Power over Fusion Cores, making it much more affordable to use.
Worsin’s Immersive Power Armor Garage
This is the largest Power Armor mod currently available for Fallout 4, completely overhauling the system. Whilst also adding 106 paint styles and 100 decals so that you can customize your armor. It also changes Jetpacks so that the styles of them will match your armor. Later on in your play-through, you’ll be able to craft Advanced Power Armor, which can be customized much more with extra attachments and features.
