GamingBest Fallout 4 Weapon Mods in 2019

Fallout 4’s vanilla weapons can feel a little bland and not powerful enough, especially weapons such as the Pipe pistol. Thanks to the modding community, there are literally thousands of weapon mods available which can add new rifles, shotguns, grenades, melee weapons and much more.

In this post, we’re going to show you some of the best weapon mods currently available for Fallout 4 on PC. Not just weapons, but mods which also change how weapons and ammunition works.

The buttons below will take you to NexusMods where the mods can be downloaded, and the list below is in no particular order. For more Fallout 4 best-of lists, you can view our dedicated area here.

Weaponsmith Extended

WeaponSmith Extended is a large collection containing some of the best Fallout 4 Weapon Mods available on Nexus Mods. This mod does require that you own all of the DLC. Whilst it’s also compatible with ammunition mods such as Loads of Ammo and New Calibers. In total, this mod will provide you with over 50 new weapons.

M2216 Assault Rifle

The M2216 is a standalone assault rifle which has full modding support. Hosting custom meshes and textures, it also offers support for scopes, barrels, receivers, grips and more. However, even with all this, the weapon can’t be found in the wasteland and must be spawned in using the console.

MK14 EBR

The MK14 EBR is another rifle which is completely new offering custom meshes, textures and animations. It can be found in multiple locations in Fallout 4, such as Diamond City or Bunker Hill. Later on, you can take the gun to a weapons bench to modify it changing the scopes, barrel and more.

Desert Eagle

Adds the Desert Eagle to Fallout 4 which could previously be found in Fallout New Vegas. This weapon is heavily modifiable and can be found at the wreck of the FMS Northern Star. It’s a great looking weapon and good for any pistol-only builds you are running.

Extended Weapon Mods

Extended Weapon Mods allow you to further modify Fallout 4’s vanilla weapons so that they are completely new and unique. For example, you can now turn the .10MM Pistol into a rifle. Currently, there are new modifications for the Combat Shotgun, Combat Rifle, 10MM Pistol, .44 Revolver and the Submachine Gun.

M1 Garand – A WWII Classic

Adds two new weapons to Fallout 4 which are both standalone. The M1 Garand and M1 Garand Bayonet. The gun can be modified so that you can change the receivers, sights, muzzles and tape. Once you reach level 13, the M1 Garand will begin to spawn on raiders, gunners and vendors.

New Calibers

New Calibers is an Ammunition Overhaul mod for Fallout 4. It adds a lot of new ammunition types to the game in an immersive and realistic way which works flawlessly with the vanilla weapons.

DKS-501 Sniper Rifle

Returning to Fallout 4 is the DKS-501 Sniper Rifle which is heavily modifiable. You can customise this weapon by upgrading the Sights, Receivers, Barrels, Stocks, Muzzles, Magazines and materials. Once you reach level 25, the sniper rifle will begin to show up in vendor lists.

The Widow Shotgun

The Widow Shotgun adds a new weapon to Fallout 4 which is not only highly customizable, but offers 6 new ammo types. It can be found inside a hidden cellar in the town of Concord.

AK74M Assault Rifle

Finally, we have the AK74M, another brand new assault rifle for Fallout 4. It features custom sounds, custom animations and a variable modification system. The weapon can either be crafted or bought from vendors in-game.
