Recently, we got the long awaited release of Minecraft Update 1.14, which is a major update. Named the ‘Village & Pillage’ update, it is a major overhaul of villages as well as adding new mobs, blocks and mechanics.
Some of these new blocks include new stairs, slabs, campfires, scaffold, flowers, barrels, fletching table, smithing table and lot more. Whilst new items include crossbows, dyes and banner patterns. Finally, a lot of new mobs including Cats, Pandas, Ravagers, Pillagers and Foxes where added.
To get started with the Village & Pillage Update, we recommend using one of the seeds below. They will spawn you right next to one of the new villages so that you can explore the new update freely and see everything it offers.

Oceanside Village
Seed: -721337316177823 Coordinates: (XYZ: -357, 79, 104)
Our first village is quite large in size, offering many of the new buildings which contain chests filled with food loot making it a great start to a survival play-through. It’s proximity to the ocean means you can also look for monuments. As you can see, some of the houses lead into the ocean using boardwalks.
Desert Village
Seed: 049194614330217 Coordinates: (XYZ: -123, 77, 190)
This next village is built inside a desert, so it has different styled buildings completely. It has two large towers which contain chests, as well as providing a good view of the village and landscape, whilst an iron golem patrols the area.
Church Village
Seed: 977948598319367 Coordinates: (XYZ: 307, 83, 310)
Another new Minecraft village is this one, which has a church. It seems that blacksmiths and churches are no longer a common occurrence, and only appear in certain villages. However villages contain many more chests in general now, with them often appearing in villagers houses. This village is large in size with fewer buildings than others in this list.
Another Desert Village
Seed: 005170053806693 Coordinates: (XYZ: -159, 68, -297)
Here is another village built into a desert biome, however this one doesn’t have towers like the previous one, although it does have an iron golem. You can see that some of the buildings branch out over the river into the trees making it an interesting location to explore.
Acacia Village
Seed: 572934943017551 Coordinates: (XYZ: 108, 72, 138)
This is one of the better villages in this list, mainly due to its location. Set in an Acacia biome, this village is isolated from the mainland by mountains and has great areas to fish. Whilst there is also a waterfall and blacksmith, with buildings going upwards of the mountain.
