Coins are the in-game currency inside the Forager game. With Coins, you can purchase items from the markets and vendors. However, the main use of Coins would be to unlock new islands so that you can progress further through the game.
If you’ve just started out, you will need to unlock one of the first economy skills which will instantly give you 40 coins. Which is enough to unlock the first island, from there, you can bring in a steady supply of coins constantly.
Below, you can check out our quick guide for making money easily in Forager and collecting coins. If you want to check out some more guides for the game, you can see our dedicated section here.
Create Coins
The easiest and most profitable way to obtain coins would be to craft them yourself. To do so, you will need to make Gold Ingots inside a furnace. To create a single gold ingot, you will require two gold ore and one piece of coal.

Once you’ve made some gold ingots, you will need to use a forge. You will have to build a forge from the industrial section in the build menu. One of the first options in the Forge is to make Coins.

Using one Gold Ingot in the Forge, you can create 12 coins. This is by far the easiest way to make coins to help you unlock new islands.

Otherwise, you can start selling items as you progress through the game. One of the first locations where you can sell items will be in the market, which you will have to build yourself.
