The tutorial at the start of Enter the Gungeon gives you a good idea of what all the controls are and how you actually play the game. Although it’s likely that you will forget 1 or 2 of the controls and have to resort to checking a post like this!

Thankfully, Enter the Gungeon doesn’t have a lot of controls, making it not so complicated to play. You can also choose to play the game with a controller such as the Xbox One Controller on PC. This may be preferable to some, and can be configured in the settings menu.

Enter the Gungeon Controls

There are a few presets available that you can switch between. Below are the default keys for the recommended preset on PC. If you want to access this menu yourself, head to the settings.

Here is a list of controls, used on PC under the recommended preset.

  • Control: Button/ALT Button
  • Shoot: Left Click
  • Dodge: Right Click
  • Interact: E
  • Reload: R
  • Move Up: W
  • Move Down: S
  • Move Left: A
  • Move Right: D
  • Use Item: Space
  • Use Blank: Q
  • Map: TAB
  • Next Weapon: Scroll Wheel Up
  • Previous Weapon: Scroll wheel Down
  • Next Item: Left SHIFT
  • Gun Menu: Left CTRL
  • Drop Gun: Hold F
  • Drop Item: Hold G
  • Pause: ESC
  • Inventory: I

There are a few more controls listed in the menu which don’t have a key bind at all. Meanwhile, you can change preset by switching through the top option. If you want to enable the use of a controller, select the ‘Controls’ option from the main menu and change the control type for Player 1 or Player 2.
