In Forager, you will find your backpack filling up quite quickly. Especially as you unlock new islands which contain all new foods and items. Eventually, you will need to do some inventory management.
Some of the easiest ways to do this is by increasing the size of your inventory, so you can carry more items at once. Whilst there are skills and items which can also help a lot.

Increasing Inventory Size
The easiest way to increase your inventory size would be by creating backpacks. You can do this at a sewing station, which you can place on an island under the Build menu.
To create the first tier backpack, you will require 4 thread and 2 flowers, which will provide an extra 4 inventory slots. You can then go up to building the medium backpack, big backpack, huge backpack and tycoon backpack, with each one requiring more complex materials.
Once you have crafted the highest tier backpack which is tycoon, you will have an extra 20 inventory slots in total.
