It’s possible that you have blocked someone you didn’t mean to in Fortnite Battle Royale. The whole situation and method for unblocking a player can be quite confusing. You can block players from your friends list of from the in-game menu.
Once a player has been blocked, they won’t see that you are online or be able to contact you. If you are being harassed through the in-game communication, make sure to report the player to Epic Games and block them so they can’t contact you.

Unblock Players in Fortnite BR
To start, make sure your in the Fortnite lobby. Open your friends list in the top right corner of the screen. It’s highlighted on the image below with a yellow square.

Your friends list will open up. Using the buttons at the top of the friends list, choose settings. It’s highlighted below in grey, in the top right corner.

In the list of options, look for ‘Hide Blocked Players’. By default, this is most likely checked, so you need to make sure that it’s unchecked. Otherwise, you can’t unblock any players.

Go back to your friends list. You will notice that there is a new tab at the bottom of the friends list called ‘Blocked Players’.

Find the player in this list of Blocked Players, right click the name and choose ‘Unblock’. The player will be moved back into your normal friends list.

If you don’t need access to this menu again, you can go back into the social settings and choose to enable ‘hide blocked players’ again.
