As soon as you jump into Graveyard Keeper, you’re going to need to be able to navigate round. Luckily enough, there is an in-game map which you can use to explore the general area.
It works like you’d expect. Areas on the map are covered up until you actually visit them. Then they will be revealed and you can see these areas from a different location. There is no fast travel system in the Graveyard Keeper map system, nor is there any way to see the location of any NPCs you may be looking for.
One of the features that is lacking (for me at least) is the ability to see your character location on the map. Right now, it acts as an image instead of an interactive map. If you don’t know where you are in the game world, it’s likely that looking at the map won’t help you.
You can read our quick guide below. Whilst we have a lot more content covered for Graveyard Keeper here.
Opening the map
There are two methods for opening the map, both requiring simple key presses. By default, you can quickly open up the map at any point of the game by pressing M on your keyboard.
If you’re on Xbox One, you may need to look at the control settings as I’m unfamiliar with them. However it’s likely that it is the back button.
The second method would be by opening up the in-game menu, which you can do by pressing TAB. At the top of the screen, you can see other NPCs, technology and the map. Just flick along through the tabs.
