Gaming How to Catch & Collect Temtem

When playing, catching Temtem is the core mechanic, and will help you progress through the game. Stronger Temtem will help you win more battles, whether it be PvE or PvP.

Before progressing to the guide, you will need to make sure you have a good amount of TemCards (around 10 or so). These are used to catch Temtem, and can be purchased from a Temporium. Temporiums are the in-game shops which can be found in towns, with them having their own minimap icon.

You can find out how to catch Temtem below. For more Temtem Guides and Best-of lists on PC, PS4, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch, make sure to check out our dedicated area here!

How to Catch Temtem

You are obviously only able to catch Untamed Temtem. These are ones that you’ll encounter in the wild when exploring the world and searching bushes. When going into a battle, don’t attack them.

Instead, use your move to open your inventory by pressing the backpack button at the bottom of the screen. From your list of items, choose a TemCard. You will want to do the same process for your other Temtem move.

Instead of attacking, you will attempt to catch the Untamed Temtem. You might not catch it the first time, it might actually take a few attempts, using up your cards. Just keep repeating the process until you finally catch it.

Once caught, you will be given a few options. You can choose to either release the Temtem back into the wild, or send it to your Squad. If your Squad is full, you will instead be able to send it to your TemDeck, which is your Temtem storage. Finally, there is a rename option.
