GamingHow to Change the Language in Halo Master Chief Collection

It’s possible to change the language in Halo Master Chief Collection, with there being around 10 to choose from. You can change both the language of in-game text, as well as any voice acting.

Not all translations are assumed to be available for all games, so you will also need to select a fallback language. Whichever options you choose will be saved for all Halo games.

This guide is suitable for the Halo Master Chief Collection, which includes Halo Reach, Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4. For more Halo MCC Guides, make sure to check out our dedicated area here!

Changing the Language

If English isn’t great, follow the red arrows and squares on the images. Start from the Main Menu, and open the Settings area by pressing the cog icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Open the Settings area from the main menu

Next, choose ‘Accessibility’ at the top of the screen. Here you can change subtitles, enable text to speech and change the language. Press the ‘Select’ button next to .Change Language’.

Select ‘Change Language’

Now just choose a language from the list of options for both Voice and Text. You can choose a main language, as well as a fallback language for where some translations may not be available.

Choose your language for both Voice and Text

Some of the language options include English, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Korean. You can save your changes by exiting the menu.
