Changing your Helmet in Halo MCC is the best way to completely change the look of your character, making them unique. There are over 50 different variants, all which can be unlocked.

Below, we’re going to show you how to customize your spartan and change your Helmet. You can also change the colors, and unlock new Helmets by levelling up.

This guide is suitable for the Halo Master Chief Collection, which includes Halo Reach, Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4. For more Halo MCC Guides, make sure to check out our dedicated area here!

Changing Your Helmet

To change your Helmet in the Halo Master Chief Collection, head to the main menu (home screen). Choose the ‘Options & Career’ button on the left hand side, then choose ‘Customization’ in the next window that appears.

Open the Customization window

Here, you can customize your appearance by changing your armor, gender and colors. To change your Helmet, select the ‘Helmet’ section at the top, you will see a list of Helmets you’ve currently unlocked in Halo.

Choose a New Helmet

You can customize the Helmet further by going over to the colors tab. There are two color options to choose from. A primary color and secondary color, which affect your entire set of armor. If you haven’t got other helmets to unlock, then you need to earn them.

Helmets can be unlocked through the Season Rewards page, which acts like a Battle-pass. Each time you level up, you will receive 1 Season Point, which can be spent to unlock the next tier, with the first few tiers containing a lot of Helmets.
