Armor Parts are a material and resource in The Outer Worlds. You will need them to repair armor items in your inventory.
As you take damage and progress through the game, your equipped weapons and armor will slowly become damaged. When it comes to armor, it makes them less useful, dropping the armor values until repaired with Armor Parts.
Below, you can find out how to get armor parts in TOW. For more guides & content for The Outer Worlds on PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One, make sure to check out our dedicated area here!
Obtaining Armor Parts
By just playing the game, you will find Armor Parts all the time. Looting containers and searching enemies will often give small amounts. However, you can get large amounts yourself from a Workbench.

Open up the Workbench, they look like the image above. They can be found in most major towns, and one is on your ship, The Unreliable. Once inside, open up the ‘Break Down’ tab.

Here, you can break down both weapons and armor, essentially scrapping and recycling them. On the right hand side, you can see how many parts you’ll get for breaking down that item. Scrapping weapons gives armor parts, and scrapping armor gives armor parts. You can then use these parts to repair items in your inventory.
