Minecraft Banners allow you to create your own designs, with practically infinite possibilities when you start using patterns. You can create country flags, clan banners and even signs out of letters.

If you’re playing Minecraft Java, you can create banner patterns inside of a Loom. Where as Bedrock Edition players can use the Loom as well as a Crafting Table. Creating banners is cheap, with it just requiring a single stick and some colored wool.

Thanks to one member (AOD_Random_Guy) over at PlanetMinecraft, there’s a collection of all 26 alphabetical letters and how to make them in Minecraft. Now following the steps can be quite difficult, especially if you are on Java Edition as they’re designed for the Crafting Table.
Each letter takes a minute or two to make depending on how familiar you are with all the patterns. I’d recommend making extra ones, or going into creative mode and cloning some letters to store if it’s not something you want to do again.
How to Craft a Loom
If you’re on Java Edition and need to craft a Loom, here is the recipe. All you need is 2 Planks and 2 String, just place them on top of eachother in the crafting table. Then you can place it down, add your banner and dyes and begin making letters!
