Paper is a resource in Minecraft, which you will mostly need to make books to set up an enchanting room. It’s also used for the creation of maps, fireworks and the cartography table.
Thankfully, it’s super easy and cheap to craft. You might find paper naturally in the game world, as it commonly spawn in Shipwrecks and Village chests. The main ingredient used in the creation of Paper is Sugar Cane.

Crafting Paper in Minecraft
To make Paper in Minecraft, you will need to acquire Sugar Cane. Sugar Canes are a block that spawns near water in the game world, and can be collected by simply punching it. Keeping the bottom block of Sugar Cane by the water allows it to grow again, providing an infinite source similar to a Cactus.
For every 3 Sugar Cane, you will receive 3 pieces of Paper. Open up a crafting table, and place all 3 pieces of Sugar Cane next to each-other in a horizontal layout, similar to the screenshot below.
Repeat this process to get as much paper as you need. Remember to keep planting Sugar Cane by the water so you have an infinite supply.
