Skins in Borderlands 3 change the appearance of your character from the neck down. Usually changing their outfit, whether it be just with texturing or changing the model too.
They work well alongside heads, often providing unique and interesting combinations. And in Borderlands 3, they’ve been taken to a whole new level.

In this guide, we’re going to show you how to find and unlock new skins in the game. For more Borderlands 3 Guides & Best-of content for PS4, PC and Xbox One, make sure to check out our dedicated area here!
Earning New Skins
Now, playing the game normally will unlock you a lot of skins. Mission rewards, enemies, bosses and random loot can all give skins, but the drops are usually quite random. However, you can also buy unique ones.
After progressing through the first few missions of the story, you’ll head to a new area. We don’t want to spoil the name or location, but one of our favourite NPCs from Borderlands 2, Crazy Earl returns.

This time though, he’s stocked up on cosmetic items which you can buy and use with Eridium. Use the nearby vending machine ‘Veteran Rewards’ to access them. You’ll be able to browse through skins, heads, trinkets, weapon skins and more.

You can take a look through the skins, purchase any you like the look of and equip them in a quick change station!
