Kodi Titan Skin

The Kodi Titan Skin is built into Kodi, so it is easy to install. It consists of a rather unique home screen, using banner like images as navigation items spread over two pages. When you hover over these objects, it displays some of your media art in the background. It also has it’s own spotlight feature where if you press the up arrow when hovering over something on the top row such as movies, it brings up an interface which gives you a list of the movies, as well the poster art, the description, run time and genre which is very useful. This also works on the bottom row items if you press the down arrow.

I do find Titan a little hard to navigate through, especially when looking through the spotlight, sometimes I have a little trouble returning to the home menu but this may be due to doing the testing on a keyboard. It functions really well and all of the menus load really fast, so in general it is a fast performing skin. I don’t think the appearance of this skin is one for me, it doesn’t look very minimalist which is what I usually go for, however you may think differently.

These instructions assume you are installing from Kodi V17 and the default Estuary skin.

  1. Go into Settings (The cog in the top centre of the home screen)
  2. Select “Interface Settings”
  3. Make sure you’re in the Skin section, and then on the right, select the “Skin” option
  4. Choose “Get More…” on the right
  5. Scroll down and look for Titan
  6. Let it install!
