Food & Water are the two main things that you need to survive in the mobile game Last Day on Earth: Survival. We’ve already covered how to gather water. In this post, we’re going to show you how you can grow your own food. Specifically Carrots.

How to grow your own food in LDE
Once you hit Level 2 in Last Day on Earth, you will be able to unlock the ‘Garden Bed’. Constructing it costs 5 logs and 1 Plant Fiber, which you should be able to find in your base. You are only able to have 2 Garden Beds created and placed within your base.

Once you’ve crafted a garden bed and placed it, you can interact with it. When working with furniture like a Garden Bed, Furnace or Drying Rack, you can press the ‘Recipes’ button. However all it will tell you is that you can use one carrot seed to make two carrots.
Note that I took these screenshots during the Halloween event, where Carrots have been replaced with pumpkins! Every 1 hour, you can grow 1 seed into 2 carrots. If you have both garden beds active, you can double this amount!

The easiest way to collect Carrot seeds is by going to easy areas such as Limestone Ridge or Pine Bushes. Pick up every bit of Plant Fiber you can find, as these are probably the easiest way of finding Carrot Seeds.

You can see your Garden Bed grow the carrots in Last Day on Earth, and see how many are ready to eat!
