It’s been a while since I’ve been writing patch notes for Last Day on Earth, I’ve missed around 3 or so major patches. However, we’re back and ready to keep you informed on the latest additions to the game!

New item: Turrets
The first addition to patch 1.7.9 is a new item, which is a turret. These items can be placed inside your base and help defend it from any zombies or players coming to raid you! According to the patch notes, you can have up to 4 turrets inside of your base. It can also be upgraded multiple times (a total of 3) to make it deal more damage and be harder to destroy.
Turrets that are in your own base or enemy bases are not invulnerable, meaning they can be destroyed. If your turret has taken damage, it can be repaired pretty easily and filled back up with fuel making it as good as new.
Bunker Alfa – 4th Floor added
The Last Day on Earth team recently teased the 4th floor of Bunker Alfa not too long ago on their page. This time, they’ve given us a whole video and even added it in this latest patch!
Changes to the Raider event
Further changes have also been made to the Raider. They will now provide you with more diverse challenges, reducing how repetitive the event is. Some examples include the air drop event and clearing bunker floors.
New Mini event
Finally, a new event has been added. Very few details have been released, except that ‘a small oak clearing may appear’ on your map. If it does, you are advised to take a lot of iron hatchets with you!
Minor bug fixes and Korean localisation was also added during this patch.
