The Maplestory 2 universe is huge. There’s an unending stream of content to work your way through and it’s scattered around the world. This makes it very easy to get lost on your way to quests and events.

Thankfully, a world map is included to make your life easier. In this neat guide, we’ll show you how to get the most out of it. Plus, don’t forget you can find more guides and updates for Maplestory 2 right here at Pwrdown!

Using the world map

Before we can look at the map features we need to navigate our way there. In the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, you’ll see a group of icons, one of which is a globe. Hovering over it will bring up a variety of other options such as; encyclopedia, mushking royale, arcade, trophies, challenge and quests. But for now, we want to click on ‘world map’ at the bottom of the list. Alternatively, you can also get here by clicking on the globe icon or by simply pressing M on your keyboard.

Now we’re at the map, you’ll be met with a heap of information on your screen. First of all, we have the locations, each of which may contain a different symbol:

! – Quest giver
? – Quest hand in
Car – Taxi travel service
Helicopter – Advanced fast travel
Purple Gate – Adventure

On the top left-hand corner of the map, you’ll find your exploration progress. You are awarded stars as you complete exploration goals. Additionally, you’ll be rewarded with items and consumables as you collect more stars.

On the right-hand side of the map, you’ll find a list of the contents of the area. This includes; adventures, monsters, boss monsters and elite monsters. If an area has a limited spawn boss, the time at which it spawns will be listed here.

Finally, at the top of the map, you have a few toggle options to make navigating easier. Choices include; hotspots, quest areas, recommended hunting grounds and recommended fishing spots. These filters can be turned on and off at any point.

We hope you’ve found this guide helpful! Now, get out there and explore!
