Wild Cocoon is one of the requirements for crafting a fishing rod in My Time at Portia. You might be needing this to complete a quest where you have to craft one for a resident.
The game states that you can retrieve these from randomly kicking trees. Although I’ve noticed that it only works on a single type of tree. Specifically one that is right by your hut.
Below, we’ve got some screenshots which show the location of the tree where you can collect Wild Cocoon’s. If you want to check out some more guides for My Time at Portia, check out our dedicated area here!
Finding Wild Cocoon
The tree that drops Wild Cocoon is much larger than other trees, and has thicker branches which stick out to the side. Below, you can see the type of tree that you need to find. There is one behind your hut and to the left, near the towns walls.
Once at the tree, you can start kicking it. Kicking uses up stamina, and can be done many times.
Eventually, a Wild Cocoon will drop. Whilst you will get other useful items such as Honeybee wax and honey. The Wild Cocoons have quite a high drop rate, so you shouldn’t have any problems finding one.
There is a limit to how much the tree will drop, and you might have to come back the next day.
