Some options that you have the choice of changing is Telemetry and the News window. None of these options affect game-play in anyway, some players just may want to control them.
Firstly, you are asked whether you want to enable Telemetry at the start of Pillars of Eternity 2. It essentially allows the developers to gather information which aids them in combating bugs and gathering feedback. Whilst the news window can be seen in the bottom right of the screen occasionally.

Disabling News & Telemetry
First off, open up the Options menu. You can do this either from the main menu or whilst in the game itself. Underneath the ‘Game’ tab are a lot of settings which you might want to take a look at.
The two options that we are looking for specifically are ‘Show News’ and ‘Enable Telemetry’. You can choose to have these on or off. If you want both off, then simply un-check both boxes and save your settings.
Inside this same menu, you can change the language, enable colorblind mode and a lot of other settings.
