If you’ve met someone in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online who you’ve enjoyed spending time with, you can add them to your friends list easily through the in-game menu. This guide isn’t about adding friends to your game, we’ve covered that in a separate post.
By adding a player to your friends list, you can play with them again in the future and ensure you can team back up if you are separated. Although you can invite players through the recently played list.
Below, we have a quick guide for adding friends to your friends list in Red Dead Redemption 2. Whilst we’ve covered many more guides for the game here!
Adding Friends
In Red Dead Redemption 2, open up the player menu. You can do this by pressing the left D-Pad button. From there, choose ‘Players’.
You will see a list of players currently in the game. You can use L1/R1 to to filter this to nearby players, friends, posse members and recently played. Find the player that you want to add as a friend from the list and select them.
From the list of options, choose the ‘Add Friend’ option. Hopefully, the other player accepts your request.
You will now be able to invite the player to your session/posse whenever you’re both online without having to look through the recently played list.
