In Red Dead Redemption 2 Online, you can report other players if you feel you need to. Rockstar will review the report and punish the player if they see it necessary. Although you shouldn’t abuse the report feature as Rockstar may end up punishing your own account.
Some reasons that you may wish to report a player is offensive language, cheating or possibly taking advantage of bugs or exploits. GTA V had it’s fair share of cheaters on all platforms, and it’s unknown if the same will happen with Red Dead Redemption 2.
Below, we have a quick guide for reporting players in Red Dead Redemption 2 Online. If you want to check out some more guides for the game, you can see our dedicated area here.
Reporting Players
First off, open up the Player Menu. You can do this by pressing the left D-Pad button on your controller. You’ll see a menu similar to the one below, choose the ‘Players’ option.

From the list, find the player that you need to report. You can use L1/R1 (LB/RB) to switch through the different lists such as Friends, Posse and Nearby.

When you’ve found the player, you can choose to mute them by pressing the button in the bottom right corner. Or select them, and then choose the ‘Report’ option.

Once you report a player, it will be investigated and Rockstar will take action if they think it’s necessary. Remember not to abuse this feature.
