If you’re playing Multiplayer or Co-Op in The Forest, you may want to drop some stuff for your friend. Whether it be food, materials or weapons, you can drop it. The process can be quite tedious, as you can’t just drag and drop out of your inventory.
If you are planning to drop some food, then it needs to be uncooked. Otherwise, other players can just take cooked food from a campfire or drying rack. Another thing to note is that it seems you can only drop items one at a time.

Dropping items in The Forest
First, you need to equip the item you want to drop. In most cases, this can be done by left clicking it from within your inventory. On the screenshot below, I’m equipping some Raw Rabbit to drop.
With the item in your hand, all you have to do is press G. This is the default control for dropping items. If this doesn’t work, you will need to go into the control settings and check for yourself!
The item will drop on the ground, ready for anyone else to pick it up. Unfortunately, it seems you can’t drop multiple items at once. Maybe this will come in a future update. If you need to drop items such as sticks or rocks, I recommend using the respected holders. That way, you can add multiple at a time.
