Cheat Mods can dramatically change your Fallout 4 playthrough. Some can make the game easier, whilst some will also make some changes which should be in the game anyway, such as infinite ammo for companions. In this list, we’re going to take a look at some of the best cheat mods for Fallout 4 on the PS4.
Unfortunately, PS4 players have it the worst when it comes to modding Fallout 4. Due to heavy restrictions by Sony, no external assets are allowed to be used, meaning no new models, textures, sounds etc. This means it’s hard to find a lot of great mods that we usually see on Xbox and PC.
The mods in this list are in no particular order, and all the buttons below link back to Bethesda.net where you can download them on your PS4. Here at PwrDown, we’ve covered many more lists like this for Fallout 4 PS4 Mods!
Cheat Room
First up, we have Cheat Room. It’s likely going to be the best cheat mod available for Fallout 4 on the PS4. It has most of the things you likely need, including every single item in the game, cheat rings, weapons, doors which will teleport you to useful locations, every set of Power Armor and more. Once installed, you can find the Cheat Room just West of Vault 111.
Choose Your Own Perks
This next mod will make some minor changes to how you can unlock perks in Fallout 4. Instead of gaining points when you level up, this mod will add books/magazines into a locker just outside of Vault 111. When you read these magazines, you will have the perks unlocked for you, giving many advantages right from the start of the game.
Unlimited Weight
At the start of your Fallout 4 journey, your carry weight is extremely limited. At least until you increase your strength, or unlock companions which can help carry more stuff. With this mod, carry weight is removed completely, allowing you to carry an infinite amount of items in your inventory. The developer states that you’ll need to update your carry weight by increasing your strength to see the new values.
Unlimited Resources Shipment
This next mod adds a new craftable item into Fallout 4, called a Resource Shipment. Once crafted, it will give 99999 of all resources, giving you practically infinite amount of items to craft and build settlements with. There are other mods in this list which also offer the same cheats. However this mod adds 0 carry weight, and is accessible from your settlements workstation.
Quick Hack & Pick
Quick Hack & Pick makes a lot of changes to locked containers and terminals in Fallout 4. With terminals, they will now only display a single word which is the password to unlock it. Whereas lockpicks now have an infinite sweetspot, meaning it doesn’t matter where the pin is, it will always unlock. However you will still require perks to actually interact with the containers and terminals if they need it, such as advanced and master level terminals.
Companion Infinite Ammo
As you’d expect, with this mod installed, companions will no longer require stacks of ammunition in their inventory to use their weapons. Although they will require at least 1 of the correct type. For example, if your companion has a minigun which fires 5mm rounds, they will need at least a single 5mm round in their inventory to have infinite ammunition.
Unlock Ballistic Weave
Ballistic Weave is an incredibly strong modification to apply to your armor in Fallout 4, but one which takes a while to unlock. After installing this cheat mod, you will no longer have to complete the railroad quests to unlock it. Instead, Ballistic Weave will be unlocked from the start of the game. Although it doesn’t change the perk or material requirements.
Stronger Dogmeat
If Dogmeat is your most loyal companion throughout the wasteland of Fallout 4, then you may want to install this mod. Instead of Dogmeat only dealing 1-2 DPS (damage per second), he will now deal 58 DPS instead, making him much stronger and worth having with you on adventures. The developer states that this makes Dogmeat more realistic too, as German Shepherds are used throughout police forces around the world due to their strength.
Starting SPECIAL
Starting SPECIAL is a simple cheat mod that changes the amount of S.P.E.C.I.A.L points you get during character creation at the start of Fallout 4. Instead of having 28 starting points, you will have 70. This will allow you to put 10 points into each of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L attributes.
FreeMaker
Our final cheat mod for Fallout 4 on PS4 is FreeMaker. It allows you to craft items without requiring any of the materials or perks associated. It’s different to the other cheat mods in this list as it doesn’t require you to go to a cheat room or open a container, all the required materials are already provided at the crafting station.
