Best Fallout 4 Power Armor Mods for PS4

Fallout 4Fallout 4 ModsBest Fallout 4 Power Armor Mods for PS4

In this list, we’re going to take a look at some of the Best Power Armor mods available for Fallout 4 on the PS4. Power Armor gets a lot of criticism in this game, with some saying it’s too overpowered, or obtained way too early into the story. With these mods though, you can tweak it to something more realistic.

Unfortunately, PS4 players have it the worst when it comes to modding Fallout 4. Due to heavy restrictions by Sony, no external assets are allowed to be used, meaning no new models, textures, sounds etc. This means it’s hard to find a lot of great mods that we usually see on Xbox and PC.

The mods in this list are in no particular order, and all the buttons below link back to where you can download them on your PS4. Here at PwrDown, we’ve covered many more lists like this for Fallout 4 PS4 Mods!

Custom Paint for Power Armor

First up, we have ‘Custom Paints for Power Armor’, which obviously adds new paint jobs to Fallout 4. In total, there are 26 new paint jobs, with them being compatible with all Power Armor sets (X01, T60, T51, and T45). Crafting these paints is free at a power armor station, and they offer defence stats too.

Power Armor Frame

This mod makes a few changes to Power Armor in Fallout 4. Firstly, the smaller station that you find in Goodneighbor will now be craftable from the Settlement menu. Fusion Cores can also now be crafted. Power Armor Frames can be moved around, as well as scrapped, as well as some new paint job unlocks.

Power Armored Wasteland Adventures

Next up is Power Armored Wasteland Adventures. PAWA adds many new things to Fallout 4, including 49 ‘Power Armor Coatings’. These coatings come in different shades, with them also offering different stats. There’s also a new category for decals, which can be applied to all Power Armor sets, adds mini-figurine versions which can be seen on the image above, adds some new material addons to increase durability and a few other things.

Colorful Power Armor Paint Pack

Colorful Power Armor Paint Pack adds 10 new paints which you can apply to your armor sets in Fallout 4. The colors are Bright Green, Deep purple, Light Blue, Pink, Salmon, Orange, Red, Purple, Uxron and Manta Ray. To craft each paint, you will require 4 Aluminium, 6 Adhesive and 4 Steel.

Power Armor Quick Enter & Exit

Simply put, this mod affects the speed at which your character will enter and exit Power Armor. It does this by making the animations a little faster, and is definitely useful to any playthrough.

Wedge’s Power Armor Variants

Using unused Fallout 4 textures, this mod makes some new variants of Power Armor. Most of these variants just change the decals. However some of them also include a Winterized Paint Job, additional types of Raider Power Armor, Brotherhood of Steel Paint for the X-01 Set and a Desert Paint for all sets of Power Armor.

Power Armor Redistribution

Our next mod changes the Power Armor that the Brotherhood of Steel wears, with the set depending on their ranks. For example, the Knight will wear the T45D, the Paladin with a T51B and Star Paladin with T60B. The mod will hopefully make the world, and Brotherhood of Steel faction feel a little more immersive and realistic.

Never Breaking Power Armor

After installing this mod, you’ll never have to repair your Power Armor again. It will become indestructible, and never take any sort of physical or visual damage. Obviously it’s a bit of a cheat mod, but worth it if you’re struggling in your game, or tired of repairing components.

Quieter Power Armor

Running around in Power Armor can get really loud, especially if you’re playing with headphones. This simple mod changes that, adding a new Power Armor option to the sounds menu, where you can have full control over the volume of your armor.

4X Power Armor Headlamp Range

Finally, we have 4X Power Armor Headlamp Range. When using this mod, it will simply allow you to see much greater distances, especially when travelling at night. However, when set to the brightest setting, its 6X as bright as the vanilla setting. This mod is a great addition to Darker Nights.
