Player Homes are really important in Skyrim, giving you a place to rest and recover in-between adventures. However they’re always most useful for storing your items, whether it be armor, weapons, materials or any other junk.

Different houses offer different features, with some having crafting stations, weapon displays or even cheat chests. In this list, we’re going to run through the Top 10 player home mods available for Skyrim on the Xbox One. These either add new houses, or change ones that currently exist in the game.

All the links below link back to the Bethesda website where they can be downloaded, and the list below is in no particular order. We’ve covered many more lists of Skyrim Mods for Xbox One!

My Home is Your Home

Unlike other mods in this list, this one doesn’t actually add a new player home. What it does is allows you to give each of your followers their own home where they will live once you dismiss them. There, they will wander around, eat, sleep and use tools making it more immersive and realistic. There is support for up to 250 followers, and once you have one following you, you can fast travel to their home.

This mod overhauls Breezehome, the player-owned house in Whiterun. It’s major features consist of the ability to display weapons and armor inside of the armory, unqiue labelled storage containers, lockable doors (which allow you to lock Lydia inside her room), a sauna and a mirror to change your players appearance in Skyrim.

Magical College of Winterhold

Another overhaul mod is this one, which changes the College to feel more enchanted and magical instead of some rural barn-type area. When it comes to the player area, it’s been changed by having new storage, a bed and a shrine of Julius. There are also new decorations and crafting stations which are always useful to the player.

Shezrie’s Old Hroldan Town

This next mod is a new-lands mod for Skyrim, adding a whole new area (which is a town). In this town are many new shops, fully voiced NPC’s and 4 player homes that the player can buy and use. Two of these are apartments where you will live with other residents, a great choice for early characters. The other two being houses which look out over the town.

Sjel Blad Castle

This Castle is a huge player home mod, located east of Helgen and south of the Throat of the World. Inside, you can find an armory, barracks, forge, living quarters, a trophy hall and much more. The Castle comes with a transportation system, allowing you to effectively transport throughout the house easily. There is also some customization available, with changing the color and design of the beds, faction banners etc.

Clockwork is a quest mod for Skyrim which provides around 6 hours of playtime according to the developer. The main quest line is in 4 parts, with a few side quests to complete too. Once you’ve done all these, you will be able to call the Clocktower home, which houses a dining room, bedroom, a travel room where you can travel between major towns in Skyrim, Work room where you can do crafting and forging and many more rooms.

Levelers Tower

Levelers Tower is a player home which is packed full of unique features. The Tower can be found north of Helgen, and there is a map marker to help you find it. Features include an auto-sorter to sort out all of your equipment, clocks which show the current game time, holiday decorations which change by the season in-game, combat dummy to test spells and gain experience, crafting stations, ingot storage, gardens, pool of restoration, museums with functional displays and much, much more. This mod contains a bit of everything.

The Scarlett, a Buildable Ship

The Scarlett is a large ship which has over 200 different build options to choose from, which is also accommodated by 2 quests and a new location. Included is a unique and immersive fast travel system, where you can sail your boat to multiple locations around Skyrim. Using the smaller rowboats, you can fast travel to more rural locations up river. There are lots of storage options available, including display cases for your weapons and armor.

Blackthorne, a Buildable Town

Like the previous mod, Blackthorne allows you to build your own town using over 400 different build options and combinations in Skyrim. There is the ability to earn income from rebuilding the town, access to workstations and plenty of storage, lightable fireplaces, bedrooms for children, different themed storage and 54 new NPCs.

Hunters Treehouse

Finally, we have the Hunters Treehouse for Skyrim on Xbox One. It is a small player home, and can be found up above between Whiterun and Riverwood. There are a few different storage options available including chests and barrels, a bookcase, armor racks and weapon racks. An alchemy table and a crafting cooking pot are also available.
