Minecraft Seeds are a long series of numbers (or words) that you can input before starting a new world to completely change where you spawn, and what’s around you. They can spawn you in new terrain, or right in the middle of some of the games rarest structures.
Right now, we’re sitting on Minecraft 1.14.4 when it comes to Java Edition. There won’t be a 1.14.5, instead we’ll be moving straight into Minecraft 1.15, which will offer many new features, with the main one being the introduction of bees.
For now though, we’ll still be putting seed lists like this one together, showcasing some of the Best Seeds for Minecraft 1.14.4. All these seeds where tested on the latest version, and the screenshots where taken using shaders.
The list below is in no particular order. For more Minecraft content including seeds and best-of lists, make sure to check out our dedicated area here!
Mushroom Island
Seed: 7275521772019857129 (-1200, -700)
Now this Minecraft seed is really interesting. In the world, you will find a Mushroom Island that has spawned right in the middle of a Jungle Biome. Finding terrain generation like this is incredibly rare, we’ve never seen anything like it. It’s a great location to set-up camp, or build high up in the surrounding trees with the infinite amount of wood you’ll have. Unfortunately, this location isn’t right next to the spawn, but just a short walk away.
Temple Village
Seed: 79687 (230, 270)
Next up, this seed makes a great location for your Minecraft base. Head to the above coordinates when you spawn, and you’ll find the location above. Hidden in the dense Jungle is a Village, making it a great place to have some start food, shelter and trades. However, leading off one of the paths is a Jungle Temple, which are rare spawns. Having them spawn this close together is quite rare. You can explore the temple for loot, just be careful for arrow traps.
Mount Doom
Seed: 8710686720635024821 (-180, -160)
When you use the seed above, you won’t spawn far from the above terrain, it should actually be visible from the spawn point. These huge, stone mountains reach up right into the sky and have snow-covered tops. Coming from many of these mountains is lava-falls, making them look great. If you’re wanting to set up an evil-lair like base, or one poking out of the side of a mountain, this seed is a great choice.
Survival Island
Seed: 109742003
Want a survival island experience in a normal Minecraft world? Give this seed a try! You’ll spawn on a moderately sized island, which is easily big enough to build multiple houses on if you need to. What makes this island unique though, is that there is a huge ravine cutting through the middle of it, waiting to be explored for minerals. You could block this off with fences, or build a bridge and path going over it. There isn’t much other land nearby, however there are huge icebergs which surround the island.
Shipwrecked
Seed: -613756530319979507
Here’s another Minecraft Seed that will spawn you on an island. This one though, is entirely taken up by a Village. There are a few trees on the island, so it’s enough to be classified as a ‘Survival Island’ world, as you can replant trees from saplings. Something interesting about this seed though is that a Shipwreck has spawned on land (which is rare), right in the middle of the village. This will give you access to a few extra chests with some early game loot.
Visible Stronghold
Seed: 2823308131507773797 (1145, -875)
Strongholds are large structures in Minecraft which contain portals that take you to the End. They’re usually really hard to find, and will require a lot of travelling by foot, digging and Ender Eye’s. However, use the seed and coordinates above, and you will find a Stronghold actually visible from the surface. Just look down into the cavern for the Stone Bricks and make your way inside.
Ice Spikes
Seed: -1480999552033160404
Ice Spikes are one of Minecrafts newest biomes, and worth taking a look at. They consist of these tall structures which rise up from the snow, some taking the form of an egg-like shape, some being towers which rise into the sky. Using the seed above, you will spawn right at the edge of an Ice Spikes biome. Sadly, there aren’t any unique structures or animals that spawn here.
Desert Village
Seed: -719325015 (130, 95)
Located not far from the spawn point in this Minecraft Seed is this large Desert Village. There are a lot of buildings, especially ones that contain chests and loot. However as you can see on the screenshot above, there is also a large Desert Temple on the edge of the village, which always offer the most amounts and best loot, with it containing 4 chests. Just be careful of the pressure plate at the bottom which will set off TNT (which you should also try to collect).
Outpost in a Pyramid
Seed: 456862464780572133 (-140, 300)
Use this seed, and you will spawn within walking distance of a Pillager Outpost popping out the middle of a Pyramid. It’s a great place to grab some loot, with the Pyramid obviously housing 4 chests and a load of TNT. However there’s a lot of added danger, especially with the Illagers who are surrounding the Outpost. It might not be a good idea to head to this location until you have armor and weapons. Killing an Outpost Captain will also give the Bad Omen effect, starting a raid in the first village you visit.
The Badlands
Seeds: -6183068961479409378
Our final seed will spawn you on the edge of a Badlands biome, previously known as the Mesa. These harsh, warm environments aren’t too accommodating to life, with the terrain usually consisting of mine-shafts, dead bushes and cactus. This seed is a little different though, as you spawn, look around and you’ll see a lot of Icebergs right next to the biome, giving it an ‘Ice and Fire’ feeling.
