GamingTop 10 Best Minecraft Banner Designs & How to Make Them

Banners where added in Minecraft 1.8, and allowed the player to make their own designs on top of them. Afterwards, they can be hung on walls, from ceilings or even placed onto the front of shields.

Now thanks to the community, there are tens of thousands of unique designs online with guides showing how to make them. In this post though, we’re going to show you just 10 of the best banner designs available for Minecraft.

If you’re playing on Minecraft Java Edition, then you’ll need to use a Loom to make banners. Whilst Bedrock Edition players can use a Crafting Table as well as a Loom.

All the link below go back to PlanetMinecraft where there are in-depth guides on how to make these banners. For more Minecraft Guides and Best-of content, make sure to check out our dedicated area here

Fox Banner

This Fox Banner for Minecraft looks great, and uses 6 different layers on the patterns. It could make a great clan banner, or one for some type of market store on an RPG server. This banner might not look correct on some texture packs.

Bunny Rabbit Banner

Next up is a banner which makes a bunny rabbit on a light blue background. It’s amazing some of the things the community can come up with by blending shapes together, with this one, you can use any background color, not just blue.

American Flag Banner

These USA Banners look great, and make a great addition to the outdoors of the player home. The flag is very accurate, minus the stars in the corner for which there isn’t a pattern for.

UK Flag Banner

Going across the pond now, we have the flag for the United Kingdom. I’m surprised at just how well this flag worked, with the white outline against the red cross. These flags can make a great interior place near a fireplace!

PokeBall Banner

Here’s a banner guide for some Minecraft PokeBalls, and these look great. They’d work well in any style of world you’re going for, whether it be Pokemon themed or not. This flag uses all 7 available layers.

Villager Banner

Obviously one of the best places to hang these banners up would be in a Village. With the shape on banners already being rectangular, these look exactly like Villagers once the patterns are applied.

Duck Banner

These banners have a very cute design. With a bright yellow background, they feature a Ducks face. They’d go great in a farm of course. There is a similar design available for a Chicken, but it uses too many layers to be usable in survival mode.

Panda Banner

Another animal themed Minecraft banner is this Panda one. It has a very nice design, and would be a great clan banner. Just be careful when using other texture packs, when using Sphax PureBDCraft with this design, the Panda becomes quite zombified.

PvP Banner

Next up we have this minimalist banner which uses a gradient background and some stripes to create a PvP styled banner. If you’re playing a PvP server, or a survival world, this banner could make a great clan symbol, and also look good on a shield.

Dragon Banner

Finally, we have this Dragon/Lizard Banner for Minecraft. This is another one that would make a good clan logo, or one that you could hang up in an evil lair. It uses all available layers to get the final result.
