Skyrim is the most popular modded game on PC right now over at Nexus Mods. With players having completed almost 2 billion total downloads, the modding scene is huge. There are mods for literally anything you can imagine.

One type of list we felt was worth covering was some of the armor mods currently available. We took a look at the charts and put together some of the most popular and best Skyrim Armor mods currently available in 2019.

Immersive Armors

The Immersive Armors mod adds many new sets of armor into the Skyrim game world in an immersive and lore-friendly way that are integrated naturally into the game world. At the time of this article, the Immersive Armors mod adds 55 new full sets of armor that are all textured and modeled beautifully. 

TERA Armors Collection

This mod adds 64 TERA Armors to Skyrim, 23 of which are heavy armors, 28 are light and 13 are robes. The developer also states that more sets are being added with every update. There are also a CBBE Version of this mod available if you want to use it with your own body preset, whilst it also has support for both genders.

The Black Sacrament

The Black Sacrament Armor pack is the first installment of The Black Phoenix Stealth Assassin guild mod. What’s so great about this armor set though is that it’s highly customizable and modular, meaning you can design it to fit your characters design style/lore perfectly. 

Tribunal Robes & Masks

If you’re playing as a Mage, the Tribunal Robes & Masks is a good armor mod for you to try out. It offers armor types for heavy, light and cloth, whilst it can be crafted at the crafting forge. Once you reach level 35, the armor will also begin showing up in leveled lists. In total, there are 5 different color options available for the outfit.

Helmet Toggle

Now this mod doesn’t actually add any new armor to Skyrim. Instead, it allows you to toggle hats, helmets, hoods and any head items with the press of a single button. It’s an incredibly useful mod if you want to be able to see your characters face at all time.

Triss Armor Retextured

This mod adds Triss Merigold’s outfit from The Witcher 2 and ports it straight into the Skyrim game world. You have the choice to use the vanilla armor set, or use it alongside CBBE which changes the character body shape. There are 8 different color variations as well as 2 different styles available to choose from, whether used as armor or clothing.

Lustmord Vampire Armor

The Lustmord Vampire Armor pack is a standalone, modular and customizable armor system comprised of multiple parts, with unique features. It’s compatible with both male and female characters, whilst also adding a Crossbow weapon that matches the set. However to use this mod, you will require the Dawnguard DLC.

Silver Dragon Armor

The Silver Dragon Armor is a heavy set of armor that is compatible with both male and female characters in Skyrim. It’s enchantable, and also levels up with your character. Once installed, you can find the Silver Dragon Armor in a new chest located to the far left in the porch of Dragonreach.

Medusa Drakul Armors & Thanatos Dragon

This mod add 2 new sets of High Resolution heavy Armor to Skyrim. The first being the Medusa Armor which is for Female characters only and the Drakul armor set which is for Male characters only. Aside from the 2 sets of armor, it also adds a new dragon which replaces Odahviing.

Demon Hunter Armor

Finally, we have the Demon Hunter Armor set which is for female characters only in Skyrim. The inspiration for this armor was supposedly taken from the Diabo games. It’s based on the CBBE Body Shape, but is supported with any other body type, although weight slider is not supported.
