In this list, we’re going to take a look at some of the Best Character & Appearance mods currently available for Fallout 4 on PS4. These are mods which change your character dramatically, either making them more immersive, or beautiful. We won’t cover clothes in this list, as we’ve covered them in a separate list.

Unfortunately, PS4 players have it the worst when it comes to modding Fallout 4. Due to heavy restrictions by Sony, no external assets are allowed to be used, meaning no new models, textures, sounds etc. This means it’s hard to find a lot of great mods that we usually see on Xbox and PC.

The mods in this list are in no particular order, and all the buttons below link back to Bethesda.net where you can download them on your PS4. Here at PwrDown, we’ve covered many more lists like this for Fallout 4 PS4 Mods!

Busty

First up, we have Busty. This mod changes the shape of your characters body in Fallout 4 to make it look more curvy. Once it’s installed, you’ll need to head to a Surgeon in Diamond City to adjust your body to the new shape. This mod doesn’t just work on your own character either, you’ll notice its effect on NPCs you cross in the Commonwealth. Most clothes and armor items will adjust with this mod, but not all will be compatible.

Sophie – Female Preset

After installing this mod, there will be a new preset for you to choose from in the character creation screen. It’s called Sophie, and overwrites ‘Default Female Preset 02’. The purpose of this preset is to make your character look not only more realistic, but also more beautiful. The character features scars and has the Wasteland Maiden haircut.

Nuka Hair Combos

Even with the ability to add new meshes and textures disabled, it was still possible for modders to add new Hairstyles to the game. Nuke Hair Combos adds 36 styles for males and 28 for females, with there also being 17 Beard mashups. These hairstyles are mostly created from the Nuka World DLC, and are made by combining multiple styles to create new ones, so no external assets are needed.

Eyes Expanded

This mod adds a few new Eye options for your character in Fallout 4. These aren’t aimed towards beauty, instead being more geared towards roleplaying. After installing Eyes Expanded, you will be able to give your character Synth Eyes, Ghoul Eyes, Scarred Eyes and Blind Eyes.

Waste Anchorage Hairstyle

Another hairstyle which is made with mashups is ‘Waste Anchorage’, and it’s available for both male and female characters. This style is a mashup of the Waste Maiden style and Anchorage style. It gives your character short hair on the back and sides, with it going to a ponytail at the back.
