Kodi Omni Skin
The Kodi Omni Skin is pretty unique looking, which is something that is so great about it. It fits the Kodi theme with it’s blue colours, however it uses a vertical navigation menu with icons as buttons which keeps it tucked away nicely and also gives this skin a very minimalist feel.
There isn’t much wrong with this skin, it’s similar to a one page website. Once you select a menu on the left such as movies, your files show up on the right, it’s just perfect. No extra hassle is required, like other skins when your in the movies section, you usually have to go back a few steps to get back to the main screen, not with this skin because everything you need is sitting there in that navigation menu.
The skin is very lightweight and simple to use, meaning it will probably work great on the Pi’s and Firesticks. I haven’t found any bugs with it yet either. It also supports the use of a mouse for those of you who may be using a PC as your primary media centre.
I’d highly recommend that you give this skin a install and see if it works for you. I can guarantee that you will consider using it for your home theatre!
These instructions assume you are installing from Kodi V17 and the default Estuary skin.
- Go into Settings (The cog in the top centre of the home screen)
- Select “Interface Settings”
- Make sure you’re in the Skin section, and then on the right, select the “Skin” option
- Choose “Get More…” on the right
- Scroll down and look for Omni
- Let it install!
