Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds: Introducing Challenges

Following a recent trend, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has been receiving a steady stream of updates. Introducing new maps, guns, vehicles and unique features to keep players hooked. Survivor challenges have been introduced in substitute of the Battle Pass. Offering players a chance to show off their skills to earn XP and unlock a variety of items. It also encourages picking up a weapon you might not usually use. As well as changing your playstyle to increase your potential survivability. The survivor section can be found on the right hand of the screen. It shows your current level and how close you are to reaching the next. Along with how many challenges you've completed out of those available. Daily challenges are simple to achieve and can grant you anywhere up to 5,000 XP. Whereas with weekly challenges you can earn anywhere up to 10,000 XP with a single challenge. Which means there's no excuse for not earning that...

Green Hell: Co-Op Multiplayer IS Coming in Future Update

The developers of one of the latest survival games Green Hell recently posted a road map to their website and Steam. In this road map, Creepy Jar (the developers) talked about all of the updates they have planned. With one which stood out. A 'Co-op mode update'. That's right. Fans of Green Hell have been requesting a multi-player mode before the game had even been released into Early Access. Whilst we don't have a solid release date for the Co-Op mode, it's supposedly coming in Spring 2019. That's according to the road-map anyway. Before then, Creepy Jar plan to reveal an Animal Update, Water Update, Combat Update, Mud Building Update and release the full story mode. From day one, Creepy Jar has endeavoured to make the best experience possible for our players with the focus being an engrossing, challenging single player game. True to our word, the push to 1.0 will see...

Halo: Infinite Revealed to Not Have Purchasable Lootboxes

While official news regarding the next entry in the Halo series - Halo: Infinite,  has been scarce, it was recently revealed by Studio Head of First-Person Shooters at 343 Industries, Chris Lee, that the game "will not include real-money loot boxes." This means that while the developer still intends to incorporate microtransactions in Halo: Infinite, players will not be able to purchase them with their own money. The concept of lootboxes in modern gaming has received a lot of negative backlash, with some developers changing their games to remove microtransactions that could be seen as gambling. However, this does not discount the possibility of obtaining these lootboxes with in-game currency, similar to how the REQ system worked in Halo 5: Guardians. This system has been a controversial addition to the Halo series, ever since its introduction in 2015 with Halo 5, so it if safe to assume that the feedback...

Introducing The PlayStation Classic

I think we could all see this coming, after the success of the mini Megadrive, NES, SNES and the Atari flashback it was only natural for Sony to want to get in on the fun with their very first console. The console that propelled them into gaming stardom, the PlayStation. For any gaming collector the mini version of this game changing console is a must have. As with the other mini versions of retro consoles the PlayStation Classic is set to be released with a catalogue of games, 20 to be exact. Featuring some of the consoles finest moments, including one of the best games of that era in Final Fantasy VII. Could go so far as to say it is one of the most loved RPGs of all time so it should be a great treat for anyone interested in this console that hasn’t had the joy of embarking...

Fortnite Season 5 – In Review

Fortnite: Battle Royale’s Season 5 is almost over. It’s been a whirlwind of new cosmetics,  weaponry, equipment and even entire game modes. For me, the past ten weeks have been the most fun I've had with Epic's 100-player shooter since I first installed it. Get moving! If Season 5 has an identifiable theme - in gameplay terms, rather than story - it is that of mobility. Prior to Season 4's introduction of the shopping cart, the only way to get around quickly was the launch pad, a fairly rare one-use item. Now, at the end of Season 5, players have access to the golf cart, bounce pad, shockwave grenade and grappler, all of which enhance mobility in - crucially - different ways. To an old hand like myself, the shockwave grenade feels a lot like using the Medic's concussion grenades to jump in the original Team Fortress Classic. The grappler, meanwhile,...

Top 5 Suits in Marvel’s Spider-Man and their Origins

Insomniac Games' Spider-Man for the PS4 has managed to blow both critics' and audiences' expectations out of the water. From its fluid web-swinging to its fast-paced and hard-hitting combat, Spider-Man is no stranger to unique gameplay elements that keep the player wanting more, even two weeks after release and after one hundred percent completion. Perhaps one of the most influential factors behind the game's endless replayability is through its inclusion of 27 all-unique suits that span the web-crawlers time both on the page and on the screen. These suits are unlockable via the use of in-game tokens rewarded for finishing specific side content missions. Thankfully, there are no microtransactions in sight. Just another reason to love the web-slinger's most recent, and arguably best, outing. Below is a list of what I personally believe are the five best suits in the game as well as an explanation as where they came from. Keep in mind...
